What you'll learn

This pre-recorded online webinar focuses on the use of remote communication technologies, such as video links, by vulnerable prosecution witnesses including complainants, as well as by vulnerable defendants when they need to participate in criminal court proceedings or engage in conferencing with lawyers. Do videoconferencing technologies and related special measures mitigate or exacerbate vulnerabilities? Dr McKay will present her findings from a 2023–2024 national study regarding the remote appearance of vulnerable witnesses and defendants.

Once enrolled, you will be provided a link to the recording and can watch on demand from Thursday, 24 April 2025.
