Thomas  Astrum

Thomas is an experienced supply chain and logistics professional, casual academic, and researcher with 20 years’ experience across supply chain, logistics, operations, project management, and procurement. He has extensive experience working with third-party logistics providers, systems integration (ERP, WMS, EDI), and freight and transportation management. His expertise spans the beauty and personal care, electronics, industrial and commercial manufacturing (OEM, ODM, contract, food), and FMCG sectors.

He is a frequent guest presenter in postgraduate units on sustainable procurement and supply chain systems and was the project lead for the research and development of the Inherent Risk Identification Tool for the New South Wales Anti-Slavery Commissioner, a project delivered in collaboration with the University of Sydney. In his guest lectures, Thomas focuses on linking concepts taught in the lecture hall to real-world supply chain scenarios and applications.

Thomas is a firm believer in collating and structuring data to enhance visibility, develop systems and tools, and enable data-informed decision-making. He holds a Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the University of Sydney.
