About the Faculty
To inspire and support students interested in studying science at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, the faculty offers programs ranging from public lectures to HSC workshops and bridging courses for those moving into their first year of tertiary studies.
The Veterinary school offers short professional development courses to veterinarians and their practice staff through the Continuing Centre of Veterinary Education (CVE).
Bridging courses
To support students moving into the first year of their tertiary studies the Faculty of Science offers Bridging short courses for a number of subjects. These short course build conceptual understanding and skills sets to prepare you for first year.
Science Alliance
We have been organising public events and programs for high school and primary schools for years, promoting science through our many ambassadors, including Dr. Karl. Our programs include public lectures, HSC workshops, teacher seminars, and holiday camps, with the aim of making science exciting and accessible.

We offer specialist professional short courses in Veterinary Science via the Centre for Veterinary Science (CVE). Established in 1965, the CVE has been a leader in transforming the careers of veterinary professionals, keeping them at the forefront of their profession. We ensure that ensures that participants in our continuing education intensives, short courses, workshops, and conferences benefit from proven curricula developed and delivered by leading experts, both in person and online. We offer continuing education covering behaviour, critical care, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, ophthalmology, pathology, surgery, ultrasound, and more for many species.
