Sydney Health Executive Education

Sydney Health Executive Education (SHEEd) provides a premium healthcare education experience for mid to advanced career health professionals who are focused on progressing their career with new knowledge and skills in an agile and dynamic environment.

We aim to challenge contemporary methods of delivering education through a range of industry-leading short courses, executive educatiion, microcredentials and premium workforce development solutions.

Sydney Health Executive Education is a locally managed unit that sits within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. It is located in the Susan Wakil Health Building in The University of Sydney’s Camperdown campus.

Charles Perkins Centre

TThe Charles Perkins Centre is a multidisciplinary research centre dedicated to improving global health by developing innovative solutions to combat chronic lifestyle diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions. Established in 2012 as the first of the University of Sydney's Multidisciplinary Initiatives (MDIs), our approach combines expertise from various fields, including clinicians, scientists, writers, and philosophers, to foster impactful research collaborations.

As part of our partnership with the InsideOut Institute for Eating Disorders, the Centre is offering a short course for primary health nurses.

This self-paced course will equip registered nurses with the knowledge and tools necessary for the prevention, screening and management along with strategies for addressing stigma associated and understanding treatment guidelines in Australia.

Centre for Disability Research

The Centre for Disability Research and Policy is dedicated to producing collaborative research that actively influences policy and practice to improve the lives of people with disability in Australia and the Asia-Pacific. One of the key initiatives is Disability - Inclusive Community Development, which includes the Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) project. The project focuses on enhancing emergency preparedness for people with disabilities, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

The P-CEP Certificate Course is a groundbreaking interdisciplinary program that provides actionable guidance on person-centred and capability-focused inclusive disaster risk reduction.
