Established in 2012 as the first of the University of Sydney's Multidisciplinary Initiatives (MDIs), our approach combines expertise from various fields, including clinicians, scientists, writers, and philosophers, to foster impactful research collaborations.

The Centre for Disability Research and Policy is dedicated to producing collaborative research that actively influences policy and practice to improve the lives of people with disability in Australia and the Asia-Pacific. One of the key initiatives is Disability - Inclusive Community Development, which includes the Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) project. The project focuses on enhancing emergency preparedness for people with disabilities, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
